REQUIREMENTS
Responsible for the set-up, change over, adjustment and troubleshooting of molds for injection molding machines. This includes providing technical and administrative support to the Production and Engineering Teams.
Troubleshooting machine to ensure hydraulic pressure and flow rates are at optimal conditions. Be able to identify material to ensure troubleshooting optimal conditions.
Assist maintenance as needed to troubleshoot machine. Equipment programming and set up for manufacturing to ensure product specifications are met.
Perform mechanical assembly and fabrication.
Design tooling and fixtures for manufacturing by collaborating with mechanical and electrical engineering teams.
Assists in reviewing existing jobs and molding processes for continuous improvement with a focus on improving product quality, machine utilization, productivity efficiencies, and reducing set up times and scrap.
Assist in creating, modifying, and revising manufacturing work instructions and process flow documentation.
Assist Quality training and assist with applying the standards in both documentation and processes.
Observes safety and security procedures, reports potentially unsafe conditions.
Read mechanical drawings and electronic schematics to ensure product specification and tolerances are met.
Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
REQUIRED EDUCATION
Prefer High School diploma or GED.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 5 years Molding Process Technician experience.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Regularly stand, walk, bend, push, pull, stoop, squat, talk, hear. Occasionally sit, climb steps, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl. Sit and climb on/off a forklift. Regularly lifting/moving, pushing/pulling 25-50 pounds. Vision abilities include close vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus. At all times eye protection must be worn.
